The art of the fit

Each part finds its place in the whole.

The edge of the 615 Husser table has a precise rhythm. The 614 Coonley chairs follow its lines and slide naturally beneath it. Each piece retains its own character; together they form a coherent whole.

I look at teams in much the same way. A professional’s experience and character must fit the role, the people and the organization’s stage of development. The right appointment brings out the best in both the person and the whole.

How I can help

Finding someone is one thing.
Choosing well is the real work.

A sound appointment takes more than a persuasive interview. I connect the role and the market with insight into behaviour, personality and potential, to understand who can truly succeed in this setting.

01

Executive search

A focused search for leaders in pivotal roles. I look at proven results, ambition and the ability to take an organization forward.

02

Partner search

For professional services firms seeking someone who can serve clients, deepen relationships and build a practice.

03

Assessment

I consider ability, personality and motivation in the context of the role. Structured interviews and relevant exercises bring both potential and possible risks into focus.

The value of a method

From understanding a person to making a better appointment.

In my own work on emotional intelligence, I explored the relationship between skills that can be developed and underlying personality traits. I apply that thinking through focused questions, structured interviews and judgments that go beyond intuition.

I have applied this approach in practice across financial institutions, FMCG companies and professional services firms. In some cases, I have also implemented the selection method within the organization, from clear criteria and structured interviews to a well-reasoned assessment of potential and possible risks.

My approach

A clear brief.
A focused search.

My approach is personal and thorough. The person you speak to is the person mapping the market, approaching candidates and helping you make the final decision.

01 / Understand

What does this moment call for?

We discuss the organization’s ambitions, the role and the qualities that matter in this context.

02 / Search

Who can deliver?

I map the relevant market, make thoughtful approaches and look beyond titles and familiar names.

03 / Assess

What informs your decision?

We examine experience, motivation and potential, and speak candidly about opportunities and areas to consider.

Hands working white marble with a hammer and chisel

The sculptor

The form was already in the stone.

“Non ha l’ottimo artista alcun concetto
c’un marmo solo in sé non circonscriva.”Michelangelo Buonarroti · Rime, sonnet 151

In essence: the form the artist sees is already held within the marble.

A sculptor is given a block of marble. He walks around it, follows its veins and uses his chisel only once he can see its contours. With every stroke, something that concealed the form falls away.

I see professionals in a similar light. Their experience and abilities are already there. Through conversation and assessment, I bring less visible qualities into focus: judgment, motivation, an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to bring others along. Those final details help a client see what someone can truly contribute.

For clients

The right person for what comes next.

A new partner, a successor or a leader who can build a practice: the context determines who will fit. I help you define what is needed and identify who can deliver it.

For professionals

A move that feels right in substance.

A new role should fit your ambitions, values and life beyond work. I discuss opportunities openly and in confidence, including when a position turns out not to be the right one.
